Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. Many pick one platform. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be on the roadmap. That will round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is the area where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that matters. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, stop reading. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should be part of your assessment.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works is your call.
The Bonus
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you commit.
